Inspired by the existing network of repair cafes, the Building-Repair Skill-Share Kiosk (BRSSK) is a mobile workshop that empowers tenants to get to know their neighbors and their buildings. The kiosk offers an alternative vision for repair - one where maintenance becomes a collective ritual and seed for solidarity and community in our neighborhoods.
The long-term goal of the kiosk would be to create a hub where tenants could exchange knowledge, borrow tools, and get connected to resources for cheap second-hand/recycled building materials, and information on tenants’ rights/organizing.
